A custom group booking website will be set up so that you can make your hotel reservations online with the Sheraton Keauhou -OR- you may contact the hotel directly at 808-930-4900. Central Reservations at 800-325-3589 may not have group information, so it is suggested you call directly to the hotel if you are having difficulties booking your room online. Deadline to reserve rooms is April 15, 2009.

The reduced rates for the group includes daily breakfast for up to 2 persons per room in Kai Restaurant. Restaurant hours are 6:30 a.m. - 10:30 a.m. for breakfast.

Garden View: $170.00 USD, plus taxes for single or double occupancy

Partial Ocean View: $180.00, plus taxes for single or double occupancy

Ocean View: $200.00, plus taxes for single or double occupancy

Ocean Front View: $220.00, plus taxes for single or double occupancy

The conference rate is available 3 days prior and 3 days after the conference dates and is subject to availability. Also, as a special benefit, the Sheraton Keauhou Resort is happy to offer special pre & post rates at any Starwood Hotels or Resorts in Hawaii. This would include Sheraton Waikiki, Sheraton Moana Surfrider, Sheraton Princess Kaiulani hotel, Royal Hawaiian Hotel, W Honolulu, Sheraton Maui, Westin Maui, The Sheraton Kauai Resort and Spa, or Princeville Resort. RESERVATION PROCEDURES:

All guests can make reservations directly with the hotel at 808-930-4900 or through Starwood’s Central Reservation Office, at 1-800-325-3589 on an individual basis, identifying themselves as members of the 8th Annual International Astrophysics group. The hotel’s online group reservation website will be available soon.

Individual attendees may make reservations on the internet or by calling (800) 782-9488. A deposit equal to two night’s stay is required to hold each individual’s reservation. Such deposit shall serve to confirm the reservation for the date(s) indicated, and, upon check-in, shall be applied to the first and/or final night of the reserved stay. This is refundable if notice is received at least thirty (30) days prior to arrival and a cancellation number us obtained. All deposits shall be charged at the time the reservation is made.

Check-in time is 3:00 pm. Check-out time is 12:00 pm. Guests arriving prior to check-in shall be accommodated as rooms become available. The Hotel shall accommodate late check-outs subject to space availability only.

EARLY DEPARTURE FEE:

In the event that a guest who has reserved a room checks out prior to the reserved checkout date, an early departure fee of one (1) night room plus applicable taxes will be charged to individual’s account. Guests wishing to avoid this fee must advise the hotel at or before check-in of any change in the scheduled length of stay. The Hotel will inform you of this fee upon check-in.
