Welcome

The University of Alabama in Huntsville, Center for Space Plasma and Aeronomic Research and NASA Marshall Space Flight Center announce the 11th Annual International Astrophysics Conference scheduled for March 19-23, 2012 at the Westin Mission Hills Resort & Spa in Palm Springs/Rancho Mirage area. (18 March - Evening Welcome Reception and Registration).

The meeting entitled "Space Weather: The Space Radiation Environment", will follow the same format as before with 25-minute invited presentations punctuated by selected 40-minute talks that will explore various themes in greater detail. The meeting will focus on basic physical processes that underlie and impact space weather: magnetic fields and energetic particle processes at the sun and the interplanetary medium; particle acceleration and transport (solar energetic particles, anomalous and galactic cosmic rays); energetic particles in the Earth’s environment (magnetosphere, radiation belts, upper atmosphere); effect of energetic particles on systems and humans; and space weather prediction modeling.

Please contact the Scientific Organzing Committee to express your interest in attending this conference.
